Ernesto

Finally got a chance to see Ernesto at the Portobello Film Festival earlier this month. Great fun to see it all put together, in colour and on the big screen! Looking forward to the screening at the BFI London Film Festival :)

Animation Showreel 2009

This is my animation showreel for 2009 which has a lot of crazy ass dancing! It also features work for Working Title Films, Universal Pictures, E4, Wear it Pink Breast Cancer Campaign, Redberry Digital Ltd, Bristol UWE, Mission to Seafarers and the Haemophilia Society (plus others). There's also clips from my upcoming cartoon film called "Evil Genius".

The Boat that Rocked

Redberry designed this site for the new Richard Curtis movie called The Boat That Rocked produced by Working Title. It's a family comedy about pirate radio stations in the 1960's. My biggest contribution was the Dancing Buddies available on download via the AIR app. The app will allow the characters to literally dance on your desktop to music from the movie.

Using the illustrations by Kate I first saved out all the pngs in photoshop then pulled them into flash. I then built the rig for the character and and created the animations of them dancing. After that I took the swfs into after effects and exported movie files for Liam (code monkey genius) to code into the AIR app. The whole thing took about 4 weeks to do and it was really cool to be animating for Working Title and Universal Pictures.

Pink Blast Game!

For the Wear it Pink site (Breast Cancer Campaign) we made this game called Pink Blast! This was a real team effort with Kate designing the characters and the background, Me animating the characters, scenery and SPLATS, Dan designed the games menu and title sequence and Liam drank many cups of tea and coded the game.

The "hip hopped" pug dog was a favourite in the office

Wear it Pink

For one of my first projects at Redberry I animated a dancing superhero and fairy characters for a wear it pink viral campaign. People uploaded there own faces onto the character and could send them to friends.
